The bare wire BrendaTM's are
easily the best RCA's connectors in the world today.Their manufacturing costs make them considerably expensive but they
represent the pinnacle of what can be achieved in an RCA connector. To augment this range of connectors another family of connectors
has been designed. These are the Solderable BrendaTM's.BrendaTM connectors that use the
same high quality materials and electroplate finish as their bare wire
cousins.
There is no point in making good designs from mediocre metals and finishes
when everyone else is doing the same.
In short, if there is to be anything dramatic in a new design in an
existing domain then the result should be outstanding performance. This criteria is met in all the BrendaTM
Connectors available. The Solderable BrendaTM is exceptional
in its performance in comparison to other equivalent connectors. Exclusively
because of both the materials used, engineering design, applied design
theory and in its quality of workmanship.
There are 2 Solderable BrendaTM's:
The BrendaTM B7 uses a signal pin
similar to the bare wire BrendaTM's that
has been re-designed to accept wire for soldering.
A long track of nearly 9mm is located in the pin for securing
the signal wire into place. There are 2 'bays' on the BrendaTM
B7.
The first bay is for the signal and the second bay is for the return.
The Return is soldered to the floor or the bridge or side of the
second bay behind the signal bay.
The BrendaTM B7 is 67mm long and
13mm in Diameter and uses Teflon as the main insulator.
After cable has been soldered into place, heat shrink is applied
to cover the exposed bays and the cable tail.
Optionally some urethane can be sprayed into the bays or the bays
can be filled with neutral setting silicone
to fully seal the cable into the connector.
HeatShrink should always be applied after the assembly is completed.
The BrendaTM B7 will accommodate
cable diameters up to 11.0 mm in diameter ( 7/16" diameter ).

SOLDERABLE BRENDAS ARE NOW AVAILABLE !
ALL DIY AND OEM INQUIRIES WELCOME!
Utilising a 9mm long track in the signal pin for the signal wire
and a double bridge at the rear for the return; the BrendaTM
B9 secures itself to the RCA chassis receptor with a Pure Copper
locking barrell referred to as a: ClawLock. The ClawLock fully shields the contents of the B9 and is machined
from HCOFC: ( high-conductivity oxygen free copper ), unlike any
other equivalent locking device on any RCA connector on the market today
or ever before. The BrendaTM B9 is the only solderable
RCA connector in the world that uses a Pure Copper ClawLock! ( Many
others are manufactured from aluminium or brass, steel and even plastic
Only the BrendaTM B2; B3 and B9 have
Pure Copper ClawLocks. ). The firmness with which the ClawLock clamps the claws of the BrendaTM
B9 onto the appliance chassis receptor is identical to the BrendaTM
B3 and BrendaTM B2. What this means is that the BrendaTM
B9 connector has a firm and secure anchoring for transmitting its signal
from interconnect cable to the appliance with no effects from vibrations
or micro-arcing or ringing due to a loose fit or other unnecessary rotating
locking mechanisms. The BrendaTM B9 will accommodate
interconnect cables up to 13.0mm ( 1/2ins ) in diameter and secures the
cable into place with 3 set screws.

Soldering.
When soldering wires to the B9 RCA ensure you are using a very hot iron! As the B9 is made from Pure Copper it conducts heat rapidly! Hence you need to ensure that your iron is at least >60 watts; has a fine tip and you have a heat proof method of handling the connectors while securing your signal wires into the connector. Be Careful! If you are uncertain then get a professional electrician with cable assembly experience to do the assembly for you.

If you are intending to use Hot Glue to fill the void in the BrendaTM connector do not allow contact with your bare skin while the BrendaTMconnectors are hot. Copper is not only an excellent electrical conductor ( second only to Silver ) it is the second best thermal conductor ( Silver being the best ).
This applies equally to the B7; B9.
