Hi Carmine,
"Where did all that music come from"
I recently had the pleasure to have a loan of some very special interconnect cables supplied by Stones Sound Studio of TweedHeads.
The cables themselves came from Cardas of the USA and the terminations came from Bocchino Technologies from the Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia. The cables are Cardas 'Golden Reference' series and the terminations are Bocchino Technologies' 'Brenda's B9's'. Their appearance and finish was extremely professional which is always a good sign to start with.
They, (B9's), are very sturdily built and connected, the terminations (B9's) being fairly large in diameter ( 15.3mm o/all ) and fit firmly but smoothly onto the rca connections of the cd player and the pre amp. They then screw down for an even firmer fit so they wont come loose or work their way off accidentally. The only draw- back here being that a lot of cd players have their rca outputs very close together making it necessary to remove the outer screw-down shield to get them to fit properly without touching. Now how did they sound?. First impressions were very positive. I was aware that they required 'running in' to come to their best, which was going to take a couple of hours. But right off I was amazed at the difference in sound quality.
All frequencies were to the fore, not just portions of the music range. This was very pleasing as I had tried a number of interconnects over the past few years and was disappointed to find that most gave improvements to only certain frequencies, moving voices and instruments either to the fore or to the rear. These Brenda/Cardas favoured no sections of the music, but the ENTIRE orchestra with singers included were projected into my listening room at the speed of sound.
I tried all types of music through these cables and was not disappointed in any regard. In fact as I continued listening I noticed that the sound was constantly improving as the hours passed by. I believed that the cables reached their peak after about 4 hours and then maintained that level of excellence. Over the next week and a half I put everything I could through these cables and was never less than amazed at their performance.
I found that I could turn my pre-amp down about one hour and still achieve the same volume levels as with previous cables, but with much more detail. This only shows how much more of the signal was getting through from the cd player to the pre amp. I kept asking myself 'where did all that music come from'. It is obviously all on the discs but getting it through from the cd player to the speakers in all its glory can be a difficult task and these Brenda B9 / Cardas Golden Reference certainly do their darndest to get the job done.
My system
Martin Logan Quest speakers.
Classe CA201 power amp.
Classe four pre amp.
Pioneer PDS904(modified) cd player.
Symo speakers cables.
Harmonitech balanced cables to power amp.
I can certainly very highly recommend these interconnect cables, the best I have ever heard in my system.
Which is why I bought them!

Note 1.
On many consumer appliances RCA sockets are spaced at 14mm horizontal
and 18 vertical.
On most audiophile cd players and dvd players the spacing is more
accommodating for the Brenda
B9's
Brenda B7's will
fit all standard spacings.
