The TomCat^TM TC-3 is a bare wire RCA type chassis receptor designed to be installed onto an audio appliance where a normal ( soldered ) RCA type receptor is normally located. Designed to match the Brenda^TM connector ( also a bare wire design ) it is also very useful as a stand alone unit for use on any audio appliance where the best maximization of signal through put is required. It has a continuous current rating of 60 Amperes and a transient current rating of 200 Amperes for 10 milliseconds ( the highest current rating of any RCA type chassis receptor on the market today ) and an electrical resistance of less than 250 micro-ohms.

To match the performance of the Brenda^TM connector an exceptional design was called for. To optimize the performance of the RCA chassis receptor, to match the bare wire design paradigm common on all Bocchino Audio Products, it was necessary to go to a larger than normal diameter Copper billet to achieve the design goal. Consequently TC-3 TomCats^TM need to be spaced at 35 millimetre intervals both vertically and horizontally on whatever appliance they are installed into. This enables maximum isolation between stereo channels and also gives enough room to install the operational appliance wires into the TC-3 TomCats' ^TM operational signal receptor cylinders.

Fabricated from de-Oxidised Copper ( 99.99% ), Pure Silver plated (5.0+ microns ) and then Pure Gold plated the electrical polarities are separated by Teflon. Installation cylinders are a minimum of 14 millimetres long and 4.2 millimetres in diameter. A twin grub screw engine holds the signal wire firmly into place. This maximized contacting surface area ( the largest in the audio industry apart from the MinMin-Lights^TM ) offers the small power level signal carried by interconnecting cables the best transition interface of any equivalent RCA connector anywhere in the world today.

All TC-3 TomCats^TM come with colour coded Delrin shoulder washers with gold plated brass locking washers. Installation hole is 20 millimetres. TC-3 TomCats^TM will improve the quality of both the information carried by the interconnectors and also the transient response associated with this. The result is a considerable reduction in colouration and a quantum improvement in both the stability and projection of the stereo holographic image field; resulting in greater enjoyment of the music and more involvement with the music. TC-3 TomCats^TM will accommodate wire diameters up to 4.1 millimetres².

TC-3 TomCats^TM will accommodate any RCA connector.

Listening to music with the Tomcats enables for a lower noise floor from their fitted appliance with more of the musical signal and its emotional cues more easily discernable.

Ensure that your audio appliance has been switched off and that the power lead has been removed from the mains socket and if it can be removed from the audio appliance then do so ( where it is a push-fit chord ).

Select the location for the cutting of the mounting hole. Ensure that you have the correct mounting hole kit.

Make sure also that there is enough room inside the appliance for the respective polarity cylinders in TomCat^TM to be easily accessible for the insertion of the respective wires.

After cutting your 21mm holes insert TomCat^TM with the 'RCA' nose pointing outwards and the isolation insulators installed.

Tighten TomCat^TM into place with the locking nuts supplied and then insert the internal wires.

With both locking nuts TomCat^TM will install across an interface thickness of 2.8mm // with one single locking nut TomCat^TMwill install across an interface thickness of 5mm - 7mm.

When inserting wire into TomCat^TMgrub-screw engine trim the outer jacket back a distance of '45 millimetres' at its insertion end. This will enable you to trim the individual insulation jackets on each of the wire polarities easily. Trim 12 millimetres of insulation off the ends of each polarity. I recommend that ROCOL J166 be inserted either into the insertion cylinder or that the stripped ends of the wires be smeared with ROCOL J166. The connecting wire is then inserted into its respective polarity cylinder.
The Wire is secured by screwing down the grub-screws securing it into the component. Wipe away the excess ROCOL J166. Ensure that both sets of grub screws are firmly tightened and then close your audio appliance
Sit back and enjoy! Where very thin wires are used then use the outer grub-screw to secure the insulated cable and the inner grub-screw to secure the wire.

Space TomCat insertion sockets at 30mm centres. The insertion hole is 20.0mm ( +1.0mm // -0.0mm )in diameter.

If using Brenda B2 "Amaranthine" space Tomcats^TM at 50mm centres.
